The Premier League has announced that Manchester City's opening goal against West Bromwich Albion on Monday was scored by David Silva.
Yaya Toure, who went on to score City's second in a 3-0 win, was initially credited with the strike, but it has been ruled as Silva's by the league.
Toure's low shot from the edge of the area took a slight deflection off Silva before also diverting off Baggies defender James Chester and finally crawling over the line into the far corner.
Vincent Kompany scored the third for Manuel Pellegrini's side as they eased to a comfortable win to move top of the early Premier League table.
