Manchester City attacker Phil Foden has been named the 2021-22 Premier League Young Player of the Season.
The 21-year-old has become the first player to claim the individual accolade in successive seasons after another impressive campaign for the Citizens.
Foden has scored nine goals and registered five assists in 27 top-flight appearances this term, matching his tally from last season with one game to spare.
The England international has been a key cog in Pep Guardiola's machine this season, operating in multiple positions in both midfield and attack, with only Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Rodri having played more Premier League minutes this campaign.
Speaking to mancity.com on receiving the award, Foden said: "I am very proud to have won this award for a second season in a row. There are so many talented young players in the Premier League this season and it is a real honour to win it again.
"I have been really happy with my performances this season and it has been great to contribute to this team in what will hopefully be another successful year for us all.
"To be nominated alongside so many great players is an honour as they have all had great seasons for their clubs. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to my development this season."
Foden wins the accolade after receiving the most combined votes from the public and a Premier League panel.
The Stockport-born attacker managed to fend off competition from Trent Alexander-Arnold, Aaron Ramsdale, Conor Gallagher, Tyrick Mitchell, Mason Mount, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka to win the award.
Foden's teammates De Bruyne and Joao Cancelo are among an eight-man shortlist for Premier League Player of the Season, while Guardiola has been nominated for Premier League Manager of the Season.
Foden will now be looking to claim his fourth Premier League title with City when they play host to Aston Villa on Sunday, with the Citizens guaranteed to lift the trophy if they secure all three points at the Etihad Stadium.
