Pep Guardiola: 'Manchester City not good enough yet to win titles'

Pep Guardiola says that his Manchester City team are not "good enough" to win titles, despite the club's 100% win record after six games.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has claimed that his team are not "good enough" yet to win titles.

The North-West outfit have a 100% record so far this season having won all four Premier League games and their Champions League playoff.

They also sealed the Manchester bragging rights after overcoming their local rivals in a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford at the weekend.

Ahead of tomorrow's Champions League group match against Borussia Monchengladbach, Guardiola insisted that his players need to improve.

"To take it to the next level we have to improve a lot to things," Guardiola told reporters. "Now, after four games in the Premier League, I would like to tell our fans that the way we have played up until now, it will not one good enough to win the title. So we have to improve to win the Premier League.

"Of course, we are so happy with the results and the way we are playing after two months, but it is not enough to win the Premier League or the bigger target of the Champions League.

"We have to improve, but it's normal. All the teams have to improve, especially for the managers who are new - like United, like us, like Chelsea."

City's next league game is against Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium this Saturday.
