Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola claims that he would be willing to extend his contract at the Etihad Stadium by 10 years.

The 51-year-old has been with the Citizens since the summer of 2016, but his long-term future at the club has been questioned as his current deal is set to expire in June 2023.

A recent report claims that Guardiola has been offered a contract worth £10m per year to take charge of the Brazil national team.

However, Guardiola insists that he is happy in Manchester and he is "willing to stay forever" with the Premier League leaders.

When asked by reporters about the links with Brazil in his pre-match press conference ahead of Sunday's clash with Liverpool, Guardiola said: "Not today, come on. I'm under contract here, I'm so happy here.

"I'm willing to stay forever here. Cannot be a better place to be. I'd extend the contract 10 years but [right now] I would not extend the contract ten years. Now is not the moment. I don't know where [the Brazil rumours] come from."

Guardiola has also spoken highly of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp ahead of their Premier League showdown at the Etihad Stadium this weekend, stating that the German 'makes world football at better place'. body check tags ::
