Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has revealed that his teammates are "fired up" for their match against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.
City's unbeaten start to the season was ended on Monday night when they lost 2-1 at Chelsea.
Despite the defeat, Kompany has insisted that the City squad are ready to make amends against the Gunners.
"Everybody is already fired up for Arsenal and that's what we want now, to play football again on Sunday," the Belgium international told Sky Sports News.
"That's the main thing for us. Everybody is ready for the next game.
"After a defeat it's important you show that you're still a team and you're ready for the next game."
Kompany, 25, joined City in 2008 from German club Hamburg.
