New Manchester City signing Maicon has revealed his intention to help the club make history.
Maicon was one of five deadline-day arrivals for the champions, teaming up with manager Roberto Mancini for the second time, having previously worked with him at Inter Milan.
The 31-year-old experienced a trophy-laden spell at the San Siro, and now he wants to repeat that success at the Etihad.
"I want to make great history at Manchester City as I have done over here at Inter Milan," he told City TV.
"I want to make history over there and that is why I have made this decision and I am sure everything will be all right, because I am going to work alongside great players.
"It will be a pleasure working alongside them and to help them win many titles."
Maicon played 235 games for Inter, winning four Serie A titles, two Italian Cups and a Champions League in the process.
