Manchester City have decided to remove the season ticket of the fan who attempted to confront Rio Ferdinand during yesterday's derby clash with Manchester United.
Matthew Stott took to the Etihad Stadium pitch as Ferdinand and his United teammates celebrated Robin van Persie's winner in stoppage time.
He didn't reach Ferdinand though as Man City goalkeeper Joe Hart managed to come between the pair.
Twenty-one-year-old Stott issued an apology to Ferdinand for his actions earlier today, insisting that the incident was totally out of character for him.
However, despite the apology, Premier League champions City have still decided to take Stott's season ticket.
He has also been warned that he will be banned from the ground for life should he enter the field of play again.
