Manchester City have reportedly started to sound out potential replacements for Pep Guardiola ahead of next summer.
The Catalan coach has guided the Citizens to consecutive Premier League titles, clocking up 100 and 98 points respectively.
However, following defeat to Manchester United on Saturday, City's title defence is in serious jeopardy, with Liverpool now 14 points ahead of Guardiola's men.
According to The Athletic, City have started to look at potential successors to the 48-year-old.
Reports have suggested that Guardiola, whose contract at the Etihad expires in 2021, will leave the club next summer should they once again fail in the Champions League.
Several sources have claimed that Giovanni van Bronckhorst is a leading contender to step into the position having spent a considerable amount of time around the team this season.
