The owners of Manchester City have reportedly decided to sack Roberto Mancini.
His future at the Etihad Stadium had been called into question earlier this weekend following speculation that Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini has been offered his job.
It intensified further after he failed to guide the club to success in the final of the FA Cup yesterday evening as Wigan Athletic ran out 1-0 winners at Wembley.
While there has been no official word from the club, the 48-year-old's contract could be terminated before Tuesday's home encounter against relegated Reading, according to The Telegraph.
Under Mancini's guidance, City won the FA Cup in 2011 and the Premier League title a year later following his appointment in December 2009.
