Manchester City will reportedly hand boss Roberto Mancini a new four-year contract at the end of the season.
The contract, which is understood to be worth £22m, will place the Italian alongside Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson in the earning stakes.
According to The Sun, City were prepared to offer Mancini a new contract even if he did not secure the Premier League title this season, but with one game remaining, the club are firm favourites.
City will almost certainly claim the title if they defeat Queens Park Rangers at the Etihad on Sunday.
