Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri insists that he and his teammates can win the Premier League title and the FA Cup following their Capital One Cup success.

Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has insisted that he and his teammates can go on to win more silverware this season following their Capital One Cup triumph on Sunday.

The Frenchman, Yaya Toure and Jesus Navas all scored in the second half after coming from behind to beat Sunderland 3-1 at Wembley.

While City's hopes of progressing in the Champions League have been dealt a blow due to a 2-0 deficit to Barcelona, the North-West outfit are still in contention for the FA Cup and Premier League title.

"This can be just the start of something fantastic for us this season," the Manchester Evening News quotes Nasri as saying. "We still have the league and FA Cup to focus on.

"It will be a great boost and you will see that next week against Wigan. It's important for this team to win trophies."

City are currently fourth in the league table, with two games in hand on all three of their opponents in the top four.
