Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has declared that Manuel Pellegrini's attacking style would make him a "good fit" as manager at the Etihad next season.
Pellegrini remains the bookies' overwhelming favourite to succeed Roberto Mancini at Eastlands this summer.
Nasri thinks that Pellegrini has shown a penchant for creating attractive sides during his time in La Liga and would welcome the chance to work with the Chilean coach.
He told Goal.com: "The club is going to let us know as soon as they sign someone, but for the moment it's just talk.
"If it is [Pellegrini], it's a good fit. In the Champions League, he's always had success with Villarreal or Malaga. The way his teams play, it's always attractive and that's what we need at Manchester City.
"Next year we won't have any excuses. At some points, we had a lack of experience. We can have all of the talent in the world but you can't buy experience."
Pellegrini is currently manager of Malaga but has reportedly been told that he is free to leave at the end of this season.
