Manchester City defender Matija Nastasic could miss the start of the Premier League campaign after being stretched off during the club's pre-season clash with Sunderland on Saturday.
The centre-back, who is expected to play a key role for the Premier League side next season, was replaced by Joleon Lescott after 77 minutes of their 1-0 win over the Black Cats in Hong Kong.
It is not yet clear what type of injury the Serbian has sustained, but it is believed that he will travel to a nearby hospital for a scan.
Edin Dzeko scored the only goal as City claimed the Asia Trophy.
