Nicolas Otamendi has set his sights on Champions League and Premier League glory after completing a switch to Manchester City on Thursday.
The Argentina international centre-back joins Manuel Pellegrini's side from Valencia in a deal believed to worth around £28m, and the South American has set his ambitions high this term.
"I am signing for a club that looks wonderful from the outside," the defender told the club's official TV station. "I now have the opportunity to enjoy it from the inside, it is a huge joy for me.
"Obviously every player hopes to win titles. In the European competitions, it is important to think game by game and gain confidence. It would be a dream to fight for both the Premier League and Champions League.
"A club like City has to aspire to these kind of titles. I am here to give my best, to fight game by game and maintain the highest peaks for as long as possible, and I wish to be able to win several cups and titles. That's what is important."
Otamendi, who signed a five-year deal with the Citizens, will wear the number 30 shirt this term.
