Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that he knows that Sunday's derby with Manchester United is a "special game".
Pellegrini will be overseeing his side against United for the first time since his arrival from Malaga, but the Chilean has revealed that he was already aware of what awaits him on Sunday.
The 60-year-old told reporters: "I didn't need to be here to know how important this game is against Manchester United.
"But after living here and working here every day, I know that it is a special game."
A win for City would see them move three points clear of United in the Premier League table.
