Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that they will assess the extent of the damage to David Silva's ankle tomorrow.
Silva was stretchered off during his side's 3-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion this evening, with his ankle being placed in a protective boot before he was carried from the field.
Pellegrini revealed that the Spaniard had been playing through injury for the last three games but was unsure whether the latest issue was a related problem or a new one.
"We will see on Tuesday how important it is. He has played the last three games with some pain in his ankle. We don't know if that pain has increased or if it is another problem," Pellegrini told Sky Sports News.
The result sees City move back within six points of league leaders Liverpool with a game in hand.
