Pep Guardiola: 'We missed a lot of final passes despite win over Swansea City'

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola admits that his side were not as sharp as they could have been in the final third following their 3-1 victory away at Swansea City.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has suggested that his side were not at their productive best despite beating Swansea City 3-1 in the Premier League this afternoon.

The Sky Blues claimed their 10th straight win under their new boss following goals from Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling, but the Spanish coach has admitted that his charges might have been sharper in the final third of the pitch.

"We played very good, but we missed a lot of final passes and that happened a lot of times in the first half," said Guardiola, according to BBC Sport.

"You have to win the ball, use the ball and use the counter-attack. It is the first time we have been 1-1 at half-time and we spoke of how we had to be like a team and in the second half we played really well.

"Sergio is quality. His first step, second step in the box is so good and that is why he is one of the best strikers in the world but I want to help him improve his game."

City currently hold first place in the standings having won all six of their league games this campaign.
