Malaga striker Roque Santa Cruz has revealed that manager Manuel Pellegrini will approach his job at Manchester City with a "huge amount of patience".
Santa Cruz worked under Pellegrini at Malaga before the Chilean opted to move to the Etihad Stadium, and the former City striker has backed the South American to create a good atmosphere in Manchester.
The 32-year-old told the Daily Star: "He's a qualified engineer, an educated man and someone with a huge amount of patience. He will never rush into a decision. He will do his homework, consider all his options before deciding what to do.
"His greatest strength is remaining relaxed and calm. His best quality is this, dealing with so many big stars.
"It makes players feel important and wanted. It creates a good atmosphere. Players want to do well for him."
Santa Cruz scored four goals in 24 appearances during his time at Manchester City.
