Three senior players have reportedly called for Carlos Tevez to be dropped as captain at Man City next season.
According to The Independent, the players approached manager Roberto Mancini after Tevez gave a controversial interview in which he said Manchester has "nothing" to offer.
The forward told an Argentinian TV show said he felt lonely in the UK and would rather live in Marbella.
"I don't have any new friends," he said. "I am always with my family and lifelong friends. I don't even leave my house. I'm the stay-at-home type. I'm always on my own, especially in the last few months. I've found the past few months very hard."
He added that he was considering "quitting" and was "not enjoying the life of a footballer".
Speculation persists that Tevez will move on from Eastlands this summer after reportedly rejecting a new £250,000-a-week offer at the weekend.
