Yaya Toure believes that he is adored by Manchester City fans and would like to deliver a Champions League title to express his gratitude to them.
The midfielder came in for some criticism following his performance in the 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich on Wednesday, the latest in a series of mixed displays from the Ivorian.
However, Toure, who has helped the Citizens to four trophies since joining in 2010 - including two Premier League titles - is sure that the City fans love him despite his early-season form.
"I know the fans love me; they are always good to me," he told BBC Sport. "My target now is the Champions League. I want to win it for them."
The Premier League champions face Chelsea at the Etihad on Sunday.
