Manchester City defender Kolo Toure could face a fine of up to £300,000 when he appears before a disciplinary panel over a failed drugs test today.
Toure failed the drug test in early March, and it is believed that his positive test came as a result of him taking his wife's slimming pills.
The Ivorian player served a six-month ban because of the poitive test, and now faces further punishment in the form of a fine.
It is understood that Toure will be represented by players' union PFA, who will look to reduce the fine as they did when City attempted to fine Carlos Tevez four weeks' wages this month.
Toure has made four appearances for City since returning from his ban in September.
