Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has admitted that he needs to "work harder" to improve after setting his side on their way to victory against Aston Villa this evening.
The Ivorian midfielder struck eight minutes from time to break the deadlock at Villa Park against a home side that had remained resolute up until that stage.
Sergio Aguero made sure of the points shortly after, and Toure was quick to highlight the importance of the win, which comes a few days after City were held by Roma in the Champions League.
"The most important thing for me is to try my best," he told Sky Sports News. "I need to work harder and continue going and the most important thing for me and the team is to repeat what we did last year.
"It is a fantastic win after the draw against Roma. Full credit to Villa for the way they played but in the second half we did the job."
City are now two points behind Chelsea in the Premier League table having played one game more than the current leaders.
