Manchester City made it eight consecutive wins in all competitions to move level on points with Chelsea at the top of the table this afternoon, beating Crystal Palace 3-0 at the Etihad.

All the goals came in the second half for the hosts, with David Silva grabbing a brace before Yaya Toure sealed the points with a third in the final 10 minutes.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at who impressed during an entertaining clash.

MAN CITY

Goal

Joe Hart: Another clean sheet, making it four in a row now for the England number one. Only had one shot on target to face all game, but did do well under the high ball on a few occasions. (7/10)

Defence

Pablo Zabaleta: Superb on the overlapping runs, getting forward whenever possible and posing one of City's biggest attacking threats. Had his hands full with Bolasie in the first half, but overall an excellent display. (8/10)

Martin Demichelis: Had a few nervy moments against Bolasie and Campbell in the first half, but never looked in too much danger. Kept that duo very quiet after the break. (7/10)

Eliaquim Mangala: Is beginning to improve at the heart of the City defence and put in another assured display to help his side to the clean sheet today. (7/10)

Aleksandar Kolarov: Like Zabaleta on the opposite flank, was a constant attacking menace for the visitors. Got forward at will and whipped some dangerous deliveries into the box, one of which set up the second goal. (8/10)

Midfield

Yaya Toure: His shooting was awry on a few occasions before he added his side's third goal with an emphatic finish, (7/10)

Fernandinho: Kept things moving in the middle of the park and allowed those in front of him to work their magic in the final third. (6/10)

Jesus Navas: Has pace to burn, but lacks a little bit of end product. City got lots of joy down the flanks today, but had Navas had a better game then they could have added a few more goals to their tally. (5/10)

David Silva: Was at the heart of most of the beautiful football that City were playing. Had a couple of chances to score in the first half but atoned for the misses with a brace in the second. Pulled the strings and was influential in the absence of a recognised striker. (9/10)

Samir Nasri: Joined Silva in playing some lovely, intricate stuff in and around the Palace box. An impressive display from the French midfielder. (8/10)

Attack

James Milner: Deployed in an unfamiliar forward role and put in a good shift. Linked well with Silva and Nasri, but it was clear at times that he isn't a natural striker. (7/10)

Substitutes

Frank Lampard: Surprisingly started on the bench. Replaced Silva with just over 20 minutes remaining but couldn't really influence the game. (6/10)

Fernando: Came on for the final 10 minutes in place of Milner and helped to see out the comfortable victory. (6/10)

Scott Sinclair: Got a rare run out, but was only on the field for a matter of minutes. (6/10)

CRYSTAL PALACE

Goal

Julian Speroni: The three shots on target he faced all ended up in the back of his net, but he didn't have a chance with any of them. (6/10)

Defence

Martin Kelly: Powerless to stop the barrage of attacks that arrived down his flank. Could have done with more help against the rampaging Kolarov. (5/10)

Brede Hangeland: Struggled to deal with City's slick passing at times but stood firm against a host of low crosses that arrived in the box. (6/10)

Scott Dann: Unfortunate to see his deflection take the ball beyond Speroni for the opener but, like Hangeland, made countless clearances from inside his own box. (6/10)

Joel Ward: Like Kelly, could not cope with the overlapping runs of Zabaleta, who make things difficult all game. (5/10)

Midfield

Mile Jedinak: Not his most influential showing of the season, but didn't exactly do much wrong. (6/10)

James McArthur: Had a goal wrongly disallowed that could have changed things. Gave his defence some decent protection, but City's superior quality still shone through on occasions. (6/10)

Joe Ledley: Found it tough against the power and guile of Toure, Silva and Nasri. Couldn't get on the ball enough to really influence the game. (5/10)

Attack

Jason Puncheon: Didn't offer much going forward and, while he tried to do his defensive duties, the overlapping runs of Kolarov proved too difficult to deal with. (5/10)

Fraizer Campbell: Looked bright in the first half, testing the City defence with his pace and the timing of his runs. Sent a fine bicycle kick narrowly wide. (6/10)

Yannick Bolasie: Full of tricks and flicks that made life difficult for City in the first half. Still lacks the end product too often, however, and faded as the match wore on. (6/10)

Substitutes

Wilfried Zaha: Joined Bolasie on the showboat with some flashes of skill, but couldn't make a real difference. (6/10)

Jerome Thomas: Introduced Puncheon in the 83rd minute and didn't have a chance to have an impact on proceedings. (6/10)

Barry Bannan: Replaced Ledley with just a couple of minutes of normal time remaining. (6/10)
