Manchester City midfielder was subjected to racist abuse during tonight's Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow.
Manuel Pellegrini's men triumphed 2-1 at Arena Khimki to draw level on points with Bayern Munich, but the night was marred due to 'monkey chants' aimed at the Ivory Coast international.
Speaking after the match, the 30-year-old told Sky Sports News: "Yeah of course [I heard it], I told the referee.
"I was quite disappointed, I think it was unbelievable and really, really sad.
"I think UEFA have to do a lot to try to stop it, maybe close the stadium for a couple of games. As an African player, it is always sad when you hear something like that."
City host CSKA in the return fixture on November 5.
