UEFA have stated that they will wait for official reports from the clash between Manchester City and CSKA Moscow before making a decision regarding the racism row.
During yesterday's Champions League clash, which ended 2-1 in City's favour, midfielder Yaya Toure was subjected to alleged monkey chants from a section of CSKA supporters.
After Toure expressed his disappointment at the chanting, the Premier League club lodged an official complaint to the European governing body.
"We are awaiting the reports from the match," UEFA told Sky Sports News. "Once received, the contents will determine whether a disciplinary case be opened. Should this be the case, we will communicate accordingly."
Toure spoke to the referee during the match when he became aware of the chanting.
