West Ham United have shocked Manchester City at the Etihad stadium, after goals from Victor Moses and Diafra Sakho sealed a 2-1 win for Slaven Bilic's side.

The visitors took a surprise lead after just six minutes, as Moses collected a pass from Dimitri Payet before firing a shot past Joe Hart from 25 yards.

Sergio Aguero missed a superb opportunity to peg the Hammers back, as the Argentine striker rounded Adrian outside the box, before dragging his shot wide.

The visitors doubled their lead on 31 minutes, after Winston Reid missed a chance from a corner, before Pedro Obiang recovered the ball and found Sakho to finish from close range.

Aguero missed two great chances to find a City goal before half time, as the striker sent an effort high and wide, before missing another from the inside the penalty area moments later.

The hosts reduced the deficit to one goal in added time, as Kevin De Bruyne struck a powerful effort into the bottom corner of the West Ham goal.

After the break Moses could have restored West Ham's two-goal cushion, but his strike missed the target, before Jesus Navas found Yaya Toure with a cross, but his effort went wide.

City appealed for a penalty after Sakho brought down Aleksandar Kolarov in the box, but the official waved away the claims.

The Hammers resiliently held on until the final whistle, denying the City strike force any chance of an equaliser to become the first side to take points off City this season.

The win for the East London side puts them second in the Premier League table, three points behind City.
