Manchester City end the Premier League season with a 3-2 loss at home to Norwich City.

Goals from Anthony Pilkington, Grant Holt and Jonny Howson gave Norwich City an unexpected 3-2 against Manchester City on the final day of the Premier League season.

Roberto Mancini's name was chanted by the home fans throughout the match, just days after the Italian was sacked.

The visitors opened the scoring after 25 minutes through Pilkington. Yaya Toure lost the ball on the edge of his box, before Joleon Lescott lost a 50/50 challenge with Wes Hoolahan. The ball broke to Pilkington, who kept his composure to slot it past Joe Hart.

The lead didn't last long, however, as Edin Dzeko's neat flick found the onrushing Jack Rodwell, who steadied himself before placing the ball beyond John Ruddy.

The away side continued to cause problems for Manchester City, with Robert Snodgrass's free kick being tipped over by Joe Hart, and Russell Martin's effort trickling inches wide of the post.

Ten minutes after the break, Grant Holt gave the visitors the lead again, after crashing home Hoolahan's cross at the far post.

However, Rodwell drew the home side level once again, as he raced away from Russell Martin and sneaked the ball home from a tight angle.

Norwich City took the lead for the third time of the afternoon through midfielder Jonny Howson, who also scored in the Canaries' 4-0 win against Reading. Howson broke with the ball from midfield, before gliding past three Manchester City defenders and coolly fired the ball beyond Joe Hart.

Manchester City pushed and probed as they looked to find a route back into the game, with James Milner and David Silva coming close.

Sergio Aguero came closest to equalising for the home side, but the Argentinian's shot came back off the post as Norwich held on to secure a shock win.
