Sergio Aguero has played down speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid by insisting that he is "happy" at Manchester City.
Recent reports, as well as his father-in-law Diego Maradona, have claimed that the Bernabeu would be the perfect destination for the 23-year-old in the summer.
However, Aguero believes that there is no reason for him to depart the Etihad Stadium at the moment.
"I thought when I came here I was going to need some time to adapt, but I started to score from the beginning," said Aguero. "I have to be honest, I never thought that I was going to score so many goals in my first season here.
"Diego Maradona has said that the ideal club for me is Real Madrid and I'm not going to tell him 'Hey, don't say that'. He says what he wants and he has always been like that.
"But I have never said that I want to play for Real Madrid, and I don't want to play for them today. I'm happy at Manchester City."
Aguero joined City last summer from Real's rivals Atletico Madrid.
