Turkish giants Besiktas are reportedly hoping to sign Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany within the next week.
The Belgium international has struggled with injuries in recent seasons and was forced to sit out this summer's European Championship finals.
Kompany, who has been a key figure at the Etihad Stadium since joining from Hamburger SV in 2008, last featured for the Citizens in the Champions League semi-final defeat to Real Madrid in May.
It is claimed by Turkish publication Fanatik that the Black Eagles will tempt new City boss Pep Guardiola into selling Kompany by tabling a bid of £25m in the coming days.
Besiktas are said to be confident of seeing their offer accepted, but could struggle to match the 30-year-old's current £130,000-a-week wages.
Man City have been strongly linked with Everton defender John Stones in recent months, with a deal expected to be completed prior to the start of the new campaign.
