Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly desperate to sign Barcelona youngster Jorge Alastuey.
Alustuey, who plays as an attacking midfielder, is the captain of Spain's Under-16 team.
The 15-year-old will see his current contract with Barcelona expire at the end of the season, and according to The Sun, City are keen to bring him to the Etihad Stadium.
Alastuey joined Barcelona's youth team from Real Zaragoza youth in July 2016 and was promoted to the Catalan outfit's Under-17 side at the start of the current season.
City have once again fallen seven points off the top of the Premier League table, with Liverpool coming from behind to beat Crystal Palace in a seven-goal thriller on Saturday.
The Citizens will look to move to within four points of the Reds once again when they travel to basement side Huddersfield Town on Sunday afternoon.
