Manchester City have opened talks with Juventus as they step up their interest in midfielder Paul Pogba.
The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the beaten Champions League finalists, with City, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly keen.
However, The Telegraph reports that City's director of football Txiki Begiristain has met with Pogba's agent, who informed him that they will have to pay £70.9m for the Frenchman.
The paper claims that City are highly unlikely to accept those terms, considering Pogba is also asking for £165,000 per week in wages. Both Juventus and Pogba reportedly want his future sorted out by the middle of next month.
Pogba joined Juvenus in 2012 on a free transfer from Manchester United.
