Phil Foden, John Stones and Ikay Gundogan are all reportedly set to miss Manchester City's pre-season tour of the United States.

The Citizens are set to fly out on Saturday for a pre-season tour, which begins with a friendly against Mexico's Club America next Thursday.

However, according to The Mirror, Pep Guardiola will not be able to call upon the services of Foden, Stones and Gundogan, who are all set to miss the tour.

With no reason given for their absence, the trio will instead travel to a European destination with the Under-23 squad to continue their preparations for the new season.

While Foden, Stones and Gundogan are not expected to travel to the United States, Riyad Mahrez is set to take part in the pre-season tour after signing a new contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2025.

After playing Club America, City will face Bayern Munich next Saturday before returning to England for the Community Shield meeting with Liverpool on July 30. body check tags ::
