Aston Villa will reportedly hold talks with captain Jack Grealish regarding his future, amid links with a move to Premier League champions Manchester City.
The 25-year-old has been identified by Pep Guardiola as one of his main transfer targets this summer, as the Spaniard looks to build a stronger squad to try and retain their top-flight title as well as challenge for the Champions League.
Grealish is currently on holiday in Mykonos after a successful time with England at Euro 2020, where he provided two assists in five matches on their run to the final earlier this month.
According to The Mirror, Villa are planning to sit down with their captain when he returns home later this week to discuss his future at the club.
Grealish's current contract runs until June 2025 and he is earning around £130,000 a week, though Villa are looking to tie him down to a new and improved deal that would see his earnings significantly increase in an attempt to convince him to stay this summer.
The midfielder, however, is believed to be considering his options and has aspirations of playing in the Champions League and winning trophies, something that Guardiola's side can offer.
Grealish, who could cost City up to £100m this summer, made 27 appearances across all competitions for Villa last season, scoring seven goals and providing 12 assists. body check tags ::
