Bayern Munich head coach Pep Guardiola has ruled his side out of the running to sign Kevin De Bruyne.
Recent speculation had suggested that the Bavarians were keen to challenge Manchester City for the Wolfsburg playmaker.
However, Guardiola has insisted that the Belgium international will not arrive at the Allianz Arena this summer, which is believed to have left the path clear for City to conclude the deal.
"Kevin De Bruyne is not coming. I knew that two weeks ago," the Bayern boss told reporters.
It has been claimed that the Citizens will have to part with around £45m to sign the 24-year-old.
