Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola will reportedly fight hard to bring Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish to the Etihad Stadium at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
Grealish, who has scored nine goals and seven assists in 27 appearances at club level this season, is believed to be on the radar of a number of teams ahead of this summer's transfer window.
Real Madrid and Barcelona have both been credited with an interest, but Manchester United are reportedly the 24-year-old's number one choice should he leave Dean Smith's side.
According to The Mirror, though, Guardiola is a huge admirer of the Englishman and is determined to bring him to the reigning Premier League champions ahead of next season.
City have reached the EFL Cup final and FA Cup fifth round, while they will take on Real Madrid in the last-16 stage of the Champions League, with the first leg due to take place at the Bernabeu on February 26.
The Citizens have struggled to match Liverpool in the Premier League this season, though, and are currently 22 points behind Jurgen Klopp's side ahead of their home clash with West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.
