England international Owen Hargreaves has been released by Manchester City.
The 31-year-old made just four appearances for City after joining from Manchester United last summer, and leaves the club after just one season.
The club have also released Gai Assulin, who joined the club from Barcelona in 2010, while Ahmed Benali and Sean Tse will also leave the club.
City are expected to target a number of signings ahead of the new season.
