Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte is reportedly keen to move back to La Liga and join either Barcelona or Real Madrid.
The 27-year-old moved to the Etihad Stadium from Athletic Bilbao in January 2018 when City activated his £57m release clause.
Laporte had been a first-team regular under Pep Guardiola until last season, when the Spain international lost his place to John Stones.
According to 90mins, Laporte has told his agent that he wishes to leave City having fallen down the pecking order, though he would only prefer to move back to Spain if a transfer was granted.
Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, who are both in the market for a new central defender, are monitoring Laporte's situation and currently have him at the top of their wishlist in this department.
Laporte has made 111 appearances across all competitions for City and has won 10 trophies, including three Premier League titles.
