Manchester City reportedly have no plans to bolster their squad during the January transfer window despite their recent dip in form.
City have suffered back-to-back defeats to slip down to third in the Premier League table, while their run of three losses from their last four games is as many as they suffered in their previous 70 top-flight outings.
The champions are now seven points adrift of leaders Liverpool, leading to suggestions that they will enter the transfer market in a bid to get their title challenge back on track.
However, The Times reports that City have no plans to sign any new players next month as both Pep Guardiola and the club's board believe that they can catch Liverpool with their current squad.
City have been left short in certain areas as a result of injuries so far this season, with their recent slump coinciding with Fernandinho's absence.
The champions will look to return to winning ways when they take on Southampton at St Mary's on Sunday.
