Manchester City are reportedly in talks to sign highly-rated Estudiantes winger Dario Sarmiento.
The 17-year-old, who made his first-team debut last year and is part of the national team set-up at his age group, is thought to be valued at around £18 million by Estudiantes.
According to the Daily Mail, negotiations between the two clubs have accelerated of late and a deal could be agreed that would see the teenager move to Manchester when he turns 18.
Given Sarmiento's limited first-team experience, it is likely that the left-footed right-winger would initially be integrated into City's youth set-up, rather than joining the senior squad.
The acquisition - should a deal be finalised - would see the continuation of a recent trend in City's transfer activity. The club have already signed the likes of Pablo Moreno, Yann Couto and Filip Stevanovic as they scour the globe for top young talent.
