Manchester City have reportedly been told that they will have to pay £90m in order to land Leicester City centre-back Harry Maguire in this summer's transfer window.
City are expected to move for a central defender this summer with long-serving captain Vincent Kompany leaving to take up a player-manager role with former club Anderlecht.
Pep Guardiola's side and bitter rivals Manchester United have both been linked with moves for Maguire this summer.
According to The Sun, the Premier League champions are keen but have been told that they would have to break the world record for a centre-back, which is currently held by Virgil van Dijk at £75m.
The report has claimed that the Citizens would have to offer Leicester £90m to land the 26-year-old, who played a key role in England's run to the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup.
Maguire, who has scored five times in 76 appearances for Leicester since a 2017 switch from Hull City, has four years left to run on his contract at the King Power Stadium.
