Manchester City are reportedly close to finalising deals to sign Danilo and Benjamin Mendy from Real Madrid and AS Monaco respectively.
Reports emerged earlier this week suggesting that City had agreed a £26.5m deal for Danilo, beating Chelsea to his signature as Pep Guardiola focuses on strengthening his full-back areas.
Mendy will add to the team's strength in that area, with the Frenchman expected to become the most expensive defender in history after City agreed to meet Monaco's £52m asking price.
Guardiola allowed the likes of Gael Clichy, Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna to leave the club at the end of last season, and the imminent arrivals of Danilo and Mendy follow the big-money signing of Kyle Walker from Tottenham Hotspur too.
Both deals could be completed before the end of this week, and the players are expected to join City on their pre-season tour of the United States once they have passed a medical.
The new transfers will take City's summer spending past the £200m mark following the arrivals of Ederson, Walker and Bernardo Silva.
