Manchester City are supposedly open to parting ways with Riyad Mahrez in the summer transfer window.
The 31-year-old is yet to pen an extension with the Premier League champions beyond the summer of 2023 and has been tipped to advance his career elsewhere over the past few months.
Mahrez played down links with a move away from the Etihad earlier this year, but his contract situation could push Man City into a summer sale lest they risk losing him on a free transfer next term.
While Arsenal-linked Gabriel Jesus is thought to be on the chopping block, journalist Dean Jones claims that Mahrez is more likely to be offloaded by Pep Guardiola's side.
"If someone from the front line was to move on, I'm told that Mahrez is the one they might be more open to losing," Jones told GIVEMESPORT.
Mahrez has enjoyed his best season in front of goal for Man City with 23 strikes and nine assists in 42 games across all competitions, taking his total tally to 62 goals and 46 assists from 185 matches since his 2018 move from Leicester City.
The Algeria international has won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and three EFL Cups with Man City, but he has only made the starting lineup on 13 occasions in the Premier League this term. body check tags ::
