Manchester City have reportedly tabled a contract offer to sign Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric in the summer.
The 36-year-old will see his current deal at the Santiago Bernabeu expire in June and he is now free to sign pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs.
One previous report suggested that the Citizens were closely monitoring the Croatia international's situation, with the midfielder 'running out of patience' over contract talks with Los Blancos.
Now, Fichajes claims that Man City have put a contract offer on the table to sign Modric this summer, with Pep Guardiola keen to recruit the experienced playmaker for at least two seasons.
The report adds that the 2018 Ballon d'Or winner in unhappy with the contract offer he has received from Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, and could accept another proposal from elsewhere if he seeks a fresh challenge in the latter stages of his career.
Modric, who has spent the last nine-and-a-half years at the Bernabeu, has made 411 appearances for Real Madrid across all competitions and has won four Champions League trophies as well as two La Liga titles. body check tags ::
