Ilkay Gundogan's switch to Manchester City will reportedly be finalised by the end of this week.
The Borussia Dortmund midfielder has long been linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium, but the speculation ceased somewhat after he sustained a knee injury that will sideline him until at least September.
However, according to The Telegraph, incoming manager Pep Guardiola has told City officials to press ahead with the deal.
The report adds that the Germany international, who has been ruled out of Euro 2016, will set the Citizens back an initial £20.1m.
Gundogan, 25, made 40 appearances for Dortmund in all competitions last term.
