Manchester City defender Kyle Walker will reportedly make a decision on his future 'very soon'.
The 33-year-old was again an important player for the Citizens during the 2022-23 campaign despite a groin injury in the first half of the season, featuring on 39 occasions in all competitions.
Walker was not always first choice in Pep Guardiola's starting XI, though, and he was left out of the side for the Champions League final against Inter Milan before featuring as a late substitute.
The defender only has another 12 months left to run on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, and there is currently widespread speculation surrounding his future.
Bayern Munich are said to be hoping to sign the England international, with the German club's head coach Thomas Tuchel believed to be desperate to bring him to Allianz Arena.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Walker is on the verge of making a decision, with Man City offering him the chance to sign a new contract.
Romano, though, claims that Bayern are 'pushing' to secure his signature, with Tuchel viewing the right-back as one of his 'priority targets' during the summer window.
Walker made the move to Man City from Tottenham Hotspur in 2017, and he has represented the Citizens on 254 occasions in all competitions, scoring six goals in the process.
Meanwhile, the defender has won five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four EFL Cups, two Community Shields and the Champions League during his time at the club.
Man City are expected to sell Joao Cancelo during this summer's transfer window, but a move for RB Leipzig's Josko Gvardiol, which is thought to be a serious possibility, could make it more difficult for Walker to secure regular starts next season depending on Guardiola's formation.
Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake are now seen as vital players for the Citizens, while Ruben Dias is a certainty to feature in the middle of the defence when available.
Bayern also made an attempt to sign Declan Rice from West Ham United this summer, but the England international is on the verge of making the move to Arsenal.
Meanwhile, a recent report claimed that Tuchel had met with Harry Kane at his house in London in a bid to convince the Tottenham Hotspur forward to move to Allianz Arena.
Walker has not yet started pre-season training with Man City due to his involvement for England last month, playing the full 90 minutes of the 7-0 win over North Macedonia. body check tags ::
