Manchester City have warned rival clubs that Raheem Sterling is not for sale, according to a report.
The winger's current contract at the Etihad Stadium expires in 2023, but talks over a new deal have been put on hold in recent months.
This has led to rumours linking Sterling with a move away from the Premier League champions, with Barcelona said to be interested in signing him in January.
However, The Sun claims that Pep Guardiola has no intentions of letting the England international leave as he is a valued member of the squad.
The report adds that Sterling is waiting to see how much gametime he gets this season before resuming contract talks.
The 26-year-old has been at Man City since 2015, making over 300 appearances and winning three Premier League titles during his time at the club.
