Nicolas Otamendi has reportedly agreed a new two-year extension keeping him at Manchester City until at least 2022.
The 29-year-old has been a key part of City's remarkable winning run in the Premier League in the first half of the campaign, featuring in 18 out of the 19 games played.
According to Goal.com, City boss Pep Guardiola has decided to reward the defender with a two-year extension to his existing deal, which was due to expire in 2020.
The news comes amid reports that the league leaders are looking to tie down a host of their top stars - including Kevin De Bruyne, Gabriel Jesus and Fernandinho - to new deals as they eye long-term dominance of the Premier League.
Otamendi has contributed four goals for his side in the league, as well as one in the Champions League, so far this term.
