Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that he will only speak about Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala if the Premier League champions can conclude a deal for his signature.
The French international has been heavily linked with a switch to the Etihad Stadium, but Pellegrini has refused to provide an update on any potential transfer.
The 60-year-old told reporters: "I always say the same answer. When things are finished, we can talk about it, but for the moment, Mangala is not our player."
When asked if a deal was close, Pellegrini added: "It doesn't matter how close it is or not. For the moment, he isn't a player in our squad."
Mangala was included in France's squad for the World Cup finals but he didn't make an appearance during the tournament.
