Pescara are in advanced negotiations with Manchester City for winger Vladimir Weiss, according to reports.
The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Espanyol and looks destined for the exit door at the Etihad Stadium after failing to establish a first-team role.
The La Liga outfit are thought to be interested in a permanent swoop, but Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Pescara have now made the first move.
The newly-promoted Serie A side are keen to add the Slovakian to their squad in order to build a team capable of surviving in Italy's top flight.
Weiss has also enjoyed loan stints with Bolton Wanderers and Rangers during his time with the Citizens.
