Manchester City attacker Phil Foden is set to sign a new contract with the club this week.
Foden has become an established member of the Man City squad over the last few seasons, and he demonstrated his importance to the side in Sunday's 6-3 hammering of rivals Manchester United.
The England international netted his first career hat-trick in the Manchester derby, helping him move past 50 goals for the club.
Following an impressive derby day performance, according to the Daily Mail, Foden is set to sign a new six-year deal with the club.
Foden's current contract expires in June 2024, but after negotiations were held up due to a change in the player's management, he is set to put pen to paper on a £225,000-a-week contract.
The 22-year-old has scored 51 goals and contributed 35 assists in 180 appearances for the Premier League champions, and he is expected to be involved in Wednesday's Champions League meeting with FC Copenhagen. body check tags ::
